Concurrent sessions are defined by active user sessions where a refresh token has been issued and has not yet expired. Think about this as a user that has logged in for the day, will have a session until they leave or log out at night.

We probe metrics every 5 minutes and charge you monthly for the p95 peak of concurrent sessions during each monthly billing cycle. This means you are protected from spikes, and will be billed only for your normal peak usage.

We believe that utilization is the right metric to align our business interests with our customers. Since the beginning, we’ve rejected predatory pricing based on each SSO connection or user, because we don’t have variable costs that depend on those numbers. Concurrent sessions count is a great proxy for our costs, and allows you a clear metric to understand how you will be billed. It also means that your costs only grow when you grow.
